A BAG AS INDIVIDUAL AS YOU ARE

Due to the natural variation and suppleness of leather, no two MAHI bags are the same. As part of our vintage style we hope you will embrace these variations as part of the bags charm. We have tried to show this natural variation in our product images by limiting the use of photoshop editing and providing a high resolution zoom. We hope that this allows you to make more of an informed choice when browsing our collection.

HOW IS MY MAHI MANUFACTURED?

All the setting work, such as the bleeding and pasting are done by hand. To ensure consistency of quality, stitching work, embossing and cleaning, is done by machine.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE MY MAHI?

We can make any of our styles in one business day. It takes an additional day if you choose to personalise your bag with initials. 

Shipping takes between 4-5 business days to most international destinations, so your MAHI should be in your hands within 6 business days from ordering (this estimate assumes timely 

HOW IS MY MAHI DYED?

We only use vegetable dye (free of Chrome VI) on our leather.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY MAHI?

Leather is an organic material, and must be cared for appropriately to ensure it retains its moisture and suppleness over time.

HOW DO I STORE MY MAHI?

Each MAHI bag arrives packaged inside a complimentary branded dust bag. We advise that you stow away your MAHI inside its dust bag when you’re not using it to protect it from dust and dirt.

CAN I WATERPROOF MY MAHI?

Leather is a permeable material and can therefore never be 100% waterproof. We would describe our bags as naturally water resistant. This means, a light shower of rain should not penetrate through the lining. If you’d like to add an additional level of water protection to your bag, we recommend buying a beeswax based cream or spray protector. If your bag does come into contact with water, allow it to dry naturally. Do not place next to a radiator or attempt to dry with a hair dryer as this will dry out the leather.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY MAHI?

Part of leathers charm is that it will ‘age’ over time and achieve a more vintage look. At MAHI we believe our leather bags look better with age, so we’d recommend wiping down your MAHI with a dry cloth every now and then to remove dirt and dust particles from building up and embracing natural changes in the leather. However, if you’d like to keep your bag looking new you can invest in a conditioning product. This will help to keep your bag supple and shiny.

Caution: You should test all leather care products for the first time on a small inconspicuous area of your bag, such as the base, to ensure the product you have chosen does not alter the colour in a way you’re unhappy with.
