We are a forward thinking independent UK streetwear brand with firm roots in the electronic dance music scene and with a strong focus on original design, premium quality, and attention to detail.

Through 2 years of organic growth we have been steadily gaining recognition in the UK streetwear scene as a lifestyle brand with solid core values, strong yet varied collections, and a vision for longevity.

Our hand made in England products often receive a lot of positive press, and this something we're planning to continue to push over the following years.

For 2014 we're planning to step things up by diversifying in to new cut and sew products as well as womanswear whilst increasing our distribution and association with the electronic dance music scene.

Florin Ungureanu has spent more than ten years managing construction projects in Southern California. It was during one of the hot California summer when he recognized the need for a better performing dress shirt. He figured it would be great to have for his job site visits and meetings, a shirt that wicks moisture away from the body, absorbs odor, is UV protected, and at the same time looks impeccable under a suit jacket. At the time, a shirt that could do all that was more of a dream than anything.

A few years later he decided to leave construction and took a job in NY with a consulting firm. If you've been in NYC during the summer, you know what we are talking about: stifling heat and humidity. He often arrived at work drenched in sweat to the point where he had to carry a clean shirt with him at all times.

To solve this challenge he started learning everything he could about high-performance fabric. He believes for the years to come, clothing is where you’ll find the cutting edge of cooling technology. And Kuul Thread is all about that, creating clothing that fits, performs, and feels great in any environment.

FLORIN UNGUREANU has an Engineering Degree in Industrial Robots Design, which is a surprisingly good preparation for starting a clothing line.
